About this place

Overview School creek is a primitive campground. No water or electric hook ups are available. Vault restrooms are located very close to each camping loop. A boat ramp is available for use within the park. School Creek Campground sits right next to our School Creek ORV area that is accessible for riders of all ages. All the campsites sit on the banks of Milford Lake, the largest man-made lake in Kansas. Click here for the Milford Lake virtual tour. Recreation Whether it's boating, birding, fishing or ATV riding, School Creek provides opportunities for all types of visitors. Facilities School Creek is a primitive campground with no water or electric hookups. Vault restrooms are located in the campground and there is also a boat ramp with dock available for use. Natural Features Milford Lake is fed by the Republican River and stands as the largest man-made lake in Kansas, with a surface area of 15,700 acres and 163 miles of shoreline.

Nearby Attractions The State Park offers Hiking trails which include the Waterfall Trail and the Crystal Trail. The wildlife Viewing Tower and Trail is a hot spot for excellent wildlife viewing.

The Milford Education Center and Fish Hatchery are located below the dam.

Getting There

Take I-70 to the 290 exit and proceed north 5 miles to 837/244 Hwy. Turn left on 837/244 Hwy. for 10 miles to reach Luttman Rd and turn right. Continue on Luttman Rd. for 1 mile to reach the entrance of the ATV area or turn right after 1 mile to go to the campground.
